This project introduces a Netflix documentary series exploring the imaginative world of special effects makeup in TV and film. From blood-curdling prosthetics to hyper-realistic gore, each episode explores how practical effects bring monsters and unforgettable characters to life. Hosted by legendary horror icon Robert Englund, best known for his role as Freddy Krueger.
I started by hand-sketching designs of both the actor and character prior to transitioning into a digital illustration. Once I reached that stage, I experimented with colors, textures, and highlights, before creating the background with photography.
